A STATEMENT FROM PUTIN DIRECTOR PATRYK VEGA
"For the first time in cinematic history, we have succeeded in creating the main character of the PUTIN movie, which is based on the Russian dictator himself. Achieving this level of realism, in my opinion, will remain beyond the reach of artificial intelligence for many years to come, and there are at least three key reasons for this.
- "The first reason is straightforward: achieving the highest resolution detail is impossible without having a physical human model to photograph in a studio. AI simply cannot replicate the level of precision we’ve accomplished without this real-world reference.
- "The second reason is the complexity of capturing an actor’s movements during dialogue. Current AI technology struggles to handle these intricate, nuanced motions with the same level of authenticity that a real actor brings to the screen.
- "But the third reason is the most crucial, and I believe it will be the hardest for AI to master in the foreseeable future: the emotional range of the lead character. It’s one thing to create a static character, showing a single expression or a plastered-on smile. However, AI cannot yet convey the full spectrum of human emotions across the span of a feature-length film, where emotions shift dramatically within scenes and carry through from one to the next with immense consistency and depth.
"The final result we achieved only came after I realized that we needed to rely on real-world experiences and my background in working on actual film sets. It wasn’t until we used the real world as a foundation that we could achieve such a spectacular result in PUTIN. In this case, AI was merely a tool we used for computing power, nothing more.
"While AI played a role in enhancing the process, the final creation of this character could not have been achieved without the essential work of human hands. Ultimately, the emotional depth and realism that define this character were crafted by people, not by AI, and the true artistry comes from human experience, not artificial intelligence."
